You got me stumped when I saw the URL for the second page.

I was like “How did he know my name, I’ve not registered or something…”. After the second try I went “aaah…Alan Me…:)”.

I’m using this quiz on my marketing students. Brilliant.

I clearly know too much about hair prod. 14/14 first try. I am not proud.

I was only certain about 2 of them; still managed 11/14 on the first try. But it took me a lot of trial and error to find that I got <rot13>Arkkhf, Fbanyxfvf & nzcyvsl</rot13> wrong.

Awesome prize! I’m sad to say that I got 12/14 right on the first go, then trial and error got me to the prize.

I got 120/14 on the first go, and had to go round trial-and-erroring a load of wrong answers before I got the prize.

6/14 right first time around, trial and error from there to get the right answer.

What is it with hair-care products and digital audio products? My wife and I both tried the first time around, and we still couldn’t get it right.

To those who were first-time winners – you must have wonderful hair!

What is the optimal strategy (in the sense of fewest calls the “How did I do?” oracle) to arriving at a 14/14 score? I claim there’s a more optimal strategy than going through one question at a time, at least in the case where you’re unsure of more than a few questions. By “going through one question at a time” I mean, e.g., first guess is all hair care, with 7/14 right. Second guess is that the first question is digital audio, the rest hair care. In the third guess, the answer to the first question is known, and the second question is switched to digital audio, etc.

Any thoughts?
